Guess The Word
Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 28, 2026
In short: Guess The Word shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure these ads, AdMob collects some information from your device, such as your advertising ID, your IP address and how you interact with ads. We do not ask for your name, email address or other personal details. There are no accounts, and your game progress is saved only on your own device.
1. About this policy
This policy explains how the Guess The Word mobile game (“the app”) handles your information. “We”, “us” and “our” mean the developer of the app.
2. Information we collect
We do not collect personal details such as your name, email address or phone number. The app:
- has no sign-up, login or user accounts
- does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or other contact details
- does not ask for permission to use your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone
- does not send your game progress to us
The ads in the app come from Google AdMob, which collects some device information itself. Section 5 explains what it collects and why.
3. Data saved on your device
To remember your game, the app saves a small amount of data in its private storage on your device:
- your progress, such as solved levels, hints used and coins
- your Sound effects and Vibration settings
- your ad privacy choices, if you are asked for them (see section 6)
- simple game records, such as when you last collected the daily bonus and when you last saw an ad, so we can limit how often ads appear
This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. To delete it, open Settings → Reset progress to clear your solved levels and coins, or uninstall the app to remove everything.
If your device backs up app data to a cloud service you use, this game data may be included in that backup. We cannot access those backups.
4. Device permissions
- Internet and network access – to load ads. Your game progress is not sent over the internet.
- Advertising ID (Android) – lets Google AdMob use your device’s advertising ID for ads. You can reset or delete this ID at any time (see section 6).
- Vibration – for short vibrations while you play. You can turn this off in Settings.
The app does not ask you for any other permissions.
5. Advertising
The app shows ads provided by Google AdMob, an advertising service from Google. The AdMob software in the app automatically collects the following and sends it to Google:
- your device’s advertising ID and other device identifiers, such as the app set ID
- your IP address, which can show your approximate location, such as your city or country
- how you use the app and its ads, such as opening the app, viewing ads and tapping on them
- diagnostic information, such as how well the app and the ads perform
- basic device details, such as device model, operating system version and language
Google uses this information to show ads, measure how they perform, and prevent fraud and abuse. If you allow it, Google may also use it to show ads based on your interests (personalized ads). This information is encrypted while it is sent.
Google handles and keeps this information under its own policies. To learn more, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
We do not receive information from AdMob that identifies you. We only see combined reports, such as how many ads were shown.
6. Your ad choices
- Europe, the UK and Switzerland: when required by law, the app shows Google’s consent form to ask whether your data may be used for ads, including personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy options.
- Android: to reset or delete your advertising ID, or to turn off personalized ads, open your device’s Settings and look for Ads (usually under Google or Privacy).
- iPhone and iPad: the app asks for your permission before your device’s advertising identifier can be used to track you across other companies’ apps and websites. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Turning off personalized ads does not remove ads. You will still see ads, but they may be less relevant to you.
7. Analytics and purchases
Apart from the ad measurement described in section 5, the app does not use analytics or tracking tools and has no in-app purchases. If we add any of these in a future update, we will update this policy before that update is released.
8. App stores
You download the app from an app store, such as Google Play. The store may collect information under its own privacy policy. It may also give us anonymous, combined statistics, such as the number of installs or how often the app crashes. These statistics do not identify you.
9. Children’s privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example by email, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
Your game data is kept in the app’s private storage, which other apps on your device cannot normally access. Information that the AdMob software sends to Google is encrypted while it is sent. We recommend protecting your device with a screen lock and keeping its software up to date.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California may give you rights over your personal information, such as the right to access or delete it, or to opt out of its sale or its sharing for targeted advertising.
- We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not keep personal data about you on our own systems.
- Google AdMob uses device information for advertising, as described in section 5. Some laws call this “sharing” or “selling” for targeted advertising. You can opt out at any time using the choices in section 6.
- To ask Google about the information it holds, see the Google Privacy Policy.
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and we will delete them if you ask.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add new features. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top.
